Front desk clerks at Pacific Eye Center in San Luis Obispo the were nice and professional. The general area of the office and the exam rooms were modern and clean. My eye-exam for eyeglasses were done carefully and with patience; waiting for my long pauses to let them know which lens is better. Dr. Amir was kind; greeted me as the new patient and carefully checked out my eyes. He ordered an extra exam to rule out something he had suspected in my eye that was immediately performed by a technician and he assured me that my eyes were ok once he looked over the results. His bedside manner was exemplary. A few days after the visit, I took the prescription to their optical shop where they did all necessary measurements and placed order for a pair of new eyeglasses at one half of the price I was quoted by an optical shop in Atascadero. Dr Amir is the most thorough eye doctor I ever had. He was able to determine with certainty that the multiple eye inflammations I was experiencing for many months were caused by an autoimmune disease and not eye condition on its own. Dr Amir insisted I return to my Rheumatologist who had given up on finding a diagnosis and because he couldn't find it and told me it was all in my head. Upon further testing at UCLA it was confirmed that I have a rare autoimmune disorder.I credit Dr Amir as saving me from blindness.He is kind, patient, soft spoken, remembers me each time and treats me like a friend.I recommend him all the time.
